Deewan-e-Aatish Urdu Poetry Book is written by Haider Ali Aatish. Atash is generally referred to as the representative poet of Dabbistan Lucknow but the fact is that these poems have traces of Dabbistan Delhi poetry and they seem to stand at the distance between the external poetry of Lucknow and the internal poetry of Delhi. He is a poet of love but unlike other poets of Lucknow, his speech is free from humiliation and contempt. He greatly influenced his era with his thought, art and God-given abilities. He poured out a river of language from which the whole of India is still irrigated. Since Atash Qalandar was possessed of nature, there is a deep imprint of Sufism in his poetry. Suicide and constant asceticism had made him a Sufi monk and a sage poet who remained till the end. Under consideration is the "Diwan-e-Atash" in which the existing poetry meets the above mentioned attributes. In particular, his energetic and passionate tone teaches men to face difficulties. There is a kind of defiance and ardor in his speech. His moral poetry also has a poetic style.
Khawaja Haider Ali Atash (1777-1847), who belonged to a Sufi family in Delhi, was born in Faizabad. After spending the years of his youth there, he moved to Lucknow, which was then the target of all literary workers and teachers. Neither affiliated with any court nor influenced by privileged and powerful people, Atash enjoyed his self-respect and the courage to punish. In accordance with his spirit, he refused to lose the prestige of the people on high ground, and preferred to live the life of a liberal Sufi and devoted himself to the profession of poetry. Atash was a student of Mushafi and wrote in both Persian and Urdu. However, he is remembered for his Urdu poetry because his Persian poetry is not known. He was very talented with Urdu idiom and played on the softness of his accent. Balancing the difference and uniformity in his poetry, he is now unconventional, now distant, now paused, now emotional, now proportional, now mystical. Her sincere emotions and strong language combine well to create a lasting appeal. Even though it maintained a uniform level of expression, it was sometimes literal and fiery, but simple and remarkably accessible. Atash chose philosophy over body pleasures and went deeper to discover the happy moments of unity. The overall effect of Atash is that of a poet who has a healthy attitude towards life and art and expresses himself with extraordinary enthusiasm. He brought life to bear on art and brought art to life. He has left behind two divans which are an example of his independent and proud poetic stance.
